Spotting high-risk companies is quick and easy, thanks to Credit Guardian's simple colour-coded key.
Credit Guardian uses a "traffic lights" system to differentiate between the different risk categories. Companies with a poor credit rating (maximum risk and high risk) are displayed in Red, those with average credit ratings are shown in Orange, those with high credit ratings (low risk and very low risk) are highlighted in Green and companies where their data is either suppressed or not made available from Experian are displayed in Blue (see What is score suppressed).
Any company that you have previously monitored and have stopped monitoring is displayed in Grey.
The colour schemes are used throughout the credit risk and company information screens, including title bars, component titles and tab highlights. The title bar is the easiest to recognise as it runs across the entire top section of each screen. Each risk category is displayed as shown below:
Very Low Risk and Low Risk
Below Average Risk and Above Average Risk
High Risk and Maximum Risk
Suppressed Risk Score
Not Monitored

Each company is given a Risk Score which is a value from 0 to 100 and indicates the level of risk of the company as determined by Experian. Low scores indicate high risk while higher scores indicate lower risk companies. For ease of use, Risk Scores are grouped into Risk Bands to make it easier to categorise companies. The following is the list of the Risk Bands categories, the Risk Scores each band covers and the average percentage of UK companies in each Risk Band. | |
